In countless applications, many tanks, boilers, silos, mixers and other vessels require some degree of visual inspection. Often, these vessels too dark for level detection and to view important process stages. At L.J. Star, we offer a range of sight glass lights (luminaires) that are designed with safety in mind for non-hazardous purposes such as pharmaceutical and food processing applications.

Our Non-Ex (non-explosive) Lights including luminaires, sight and light combos, sanitary and large vessel light ports are available in many different sizes and options to suit your needs. Non-Ex Lights can be used with a variety of sight glass sizes and styles, with outputs from 5 to 150 watts, and can suit any voltage requirement.

Many of our Non-Ex lights feature Lumiglas®, an inspection glass luminaire with unique features, available with aluminum or stainless steel construction and, depending on the size and wattage, can be equipped with momentary pushbutton switches for safety and longevity. Remote or pneumatic timers and pushbutton switches are also available as Lumiglas light accessories. And if a port is too small to utilize one of our standard lights, L.J. Star’s fiber optic lighting can fit even the tiniest of ports.
